1. Information We Collect

• Account Information: Your phone number, profile name, and profile picture provided during account creation.
• Messages and Usage Data:
  • Standard Chats: Messages sent over our consumer platform are processed to facilitate delivery. Where end-to-end encryption is enabled, we cannot view the contents of your messages.
  • AI Features: If you use Mesergram’s built-in AI assistants, your Inputs are processed under privacy-preserving machine learning (PPML) to generate responses. They are never readable by Mesergram or its servers, and are never used to train any model.
  • Business API Data: We process text, media, and metadata sent through the API to fulfill transactional delivery commands on behalf of the business enterprise.
• Technical Data: IP address, device type, operating system, and basic analytics data required to keep the service functional and secure.

2. How We Use Data and Our No-Training Policy

• Core Services: To operate, maintain, and optimize our messaging network and intelligent tools.
• No Model Training (All Tiers): Mesergram never uses your information to train, fine-tune, or improve any AI model. This applies to every tier without exception - free, premium, and the Business API. There is no training opt-in to manage and no opt-out to find, because none of your data is used for training in the first place.
• Privacy-Preserving Machine Learning (PPML): Messages and prompts sent to our AI models are processed using privacy-preserving machine learning, so they stay encrypted while they are being computed on. Even Mesergram’s own servers can never read the contents of your messages or the prompts you send to our AI models.

3. Data Retention

• Messages: Standard messages are cached only until delivered, unless saved to cloud storage features by the user.
• AI Logs: Because AI Inputs and Outputs are processed under PPML, Mesergram holds no readable copy of your prompts or the model’s responses, and so retains none. We keep only operational metadata - such as request counts and error rates - needed to run and secure the service.

4. Data Sharing and Law Enforcement Requests

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We will only disclose user data (such as IP addresses, phone numbers, or account metadata) to law enforcement or government authorities if we receive a legally valid court order, subpoena, or warrant. In exceptional circumstances involving an imminent, good-faith threat to human life or safety, limited disclosure may be made to prevent harm.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical security measures to protect your data. This includes TLS encryption for data in transit, AES-256 encryption for data at rest, and privacy-preserving machine learning (PPML) for data in use - so the contents of your messages and AI prompts are never exposed to our servers in readable form.
